The Asociación para la Incontinencia Anal (ASIA) was founded in 2013 by a group of patients with the help of Dr. Arantxa Muñoz, Dr. Albert Navarro (Hospital Universitario Mútua de Terrassa) and Dr. Yolanda Ribas (Consorci Sanitari de Terrassa), all of them members of the scientific committee since.  They are the only Spanish patient organization operating on the national territory struggling against the taboo of faecal incontinence.
