What is the OAB answers patient decision aid?

OAB answers is an interactive tool used to support shared decision making between people with overactive bladder and their healthcare teams. Inside, you’ll find information about treatment options for people whose pelvic floor rehabilitation or drug treatment no longer keeps their OAB under control and who are considering what to try next.

The content of the OAB patient decision aid was co-created with a steering committee of urologists, uro-gynecologists and representatives from patient advocacy groups to ensure the information is accurate and unbiased.

 

Life with overactive bladder (OAB) is challenging. Aside from the physical discomfort of OAB, the constant disruptions to your daily routine can seriously impact your emotional wellbeing.

There are options for treating OAB and some people may find the choice overwhelming. You may want to leave decisions up to the experts in your healthcare team. But participating in your treatment choices will help you find the treatment that best suits your needs and fits into your daily life.

This OAB Decision Aid has been created to help you learn more about your treatment options,how to talk to your healthcare team and how to feel empowered to make the right decisions.

 

 

This Faecal Incontinence (FI) Decision Aid was made for people who have been diagnosed with FI and are thinking about what to do next.

You may have had treatment for FI before, and/or made lifestyle changes, but if these measures aren’t giving you the support you need, there are other options you may want to consider. This Decision Aid will look at the choices available and help you decide on a way forward.

This Decision Aid was co-created with, reviewed and approved by medical experts and patient advocates to ensure that the information provided is accurate and unbiased. It was developed from funding by Medtronic.
