The National Association for Continence is thrilled to introduce their newest campaign: We Count. Incontinence is an incredibly common condition. In fact, 1 in 2 women (about 80 million of us in the US!) have it, and unfortunately, women have become accustomed to living with bladder leaks for far too long. For too long, many women have quietly lived with bladder leaks, believing that it’s just a part of aging or something they have to accept. But we want you to know – that simply isn’t true.
Incontinence isn’t inevitable, and it doesn’t have to define you. The truth is that millions of women experience incontinence, but many never seek help because they think nothing can be done or that it’s “normal.” But NAFC is here to change that narrative. Over the next year with the We Count campaign, they are spreading the facts, breaking down the misconceptions, and encouraging women to take charge of their bladder health. Follow along with them as they explore incontinence and the menopause connection, facts around OAB and SUI, the impact of incontinence on the elderly, and the incredible impact of bladder leaks on our mental health. Your health matters. You matter. No more waiting, no more silence. NAFC wants to empower you to seek treatment and regain your confidence. There’s help, and you deserve it. Together, we can make bladder health a priority. We Count—because you do.
