Along with the Radboud University Medical Center and the Patients for Patient Safety Observatory,  IAPO is pleased to invite you to participate in a global survey aimed at gathering insights from people with lived experience on patient-related determinants in shared decision making.

Comparative research in this area remains limited. By identifying and better understanding the factors that influence patient engagement in shared decision making, this study seeks to generate valuable evidence that can inform the development of targeted interventions to strengthen patient participation in healthcare decisions.

Through the survey, we aim to:

1. Explore key patient-related determinants of engagement in shared decision making

2. Compare these determinants across different geographic regions

3. Evaluate how these determinants influence levels of engagement in shared decision making

We warmly invite you to contribute by completing the survey and sharing it with patients and carers within your network. Your support in helping us reach a diverse and global audience would be greatly appreciated.

The survey will be available in English, Chinese (traditional), French, and Spanish.
