On Wednesday, April 22 at 10:00 CET, the World Federation of Incontinence and Pelvic Problems – WFIPP, in collaboration with MAPLe® by Novuqare, is hosting a webinar that challenges how we think about patient involvement in pelvic health.

Leading the session is Mary Lynne Van Poelgeest-Pomfret, President of WFIPP and one of the most outspoken and committed patient advocates in our field.

WFIPP is a global patient advocacy organization representing people living with incontinence and pelvic floor disorders. Its mission is clear:
𝘛𝘰 𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘷𝘰𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵, 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘢 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘱𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘺, 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩, 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘥𝘶𝘤𝘵 𝘥𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯-𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨.

For decades, Lynne has worked internationally to build bridges between patients, clinicians, researchers, industry and policymakers. WFIPP functions as exactly that: 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻.

A key theme of this webinar is 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗗𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 — not as a checkbox in guidelines, but as a fundamental shift in mindset. Because true quality of care does not start with what is technically possible, but with what matters to the person in front of you.

Lynne often uses a term she coined herself: “𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗔𝗕𝗢𝗥𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡” A deliberate combination of collaboration and action.
Because listening alone is not enough. Collaboration without implementation changes nothing. And action without partnership risks missing what truly matters.

If you work in pelvic floor health, this session invites you to reflect:
🔹Are we systematically including patient perspectives in research and innovation?
🔹Are we designing care pathways 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 patients — or still primarily 𝘧𝘰𝘳 them?
🔹What does meaningful partnership actually look like in daily practice?

This webinar offers insight into WFIPP’s international network of patient organizations and stakeholders and how collaboration across sectors can drive real impact.
